People who inspire me: Lou Lou de la Falaise
I have been inspired by LouLou de la Falaise throughout my life, initially for my jewelry design, later for her bohemian style, the way she layered her necklaces and bracelets. She lived my dream, designing jewelry, and working in the world of fashion design. She was many things throughout her full life: model, designer, style icon, mother, and a great friend to Yves Saint Laurent.
Alicia Drake, author of The Beautiful Fall wrote, "There was fantasy and color and daring to her style that was truly original."
Even with no makeup wearing a simple white tunic and headwrap, she was a natural beauty.
LouLou was Yves Saint Laurent's muse, they worked closely together for years.
Can you imagine what it would have been like to be in Paris during the '70s, designing, creating, with such talented people?
I love illustrations of all kinds. In college, I took fashion illustration and was convinced I would go to New York to pursue this career.
On her wedding day to her second husband, Thadee Klossovski.
